- Sessions are free however, a donation of £5.00 per term will help towards material costs
- Tuesdays (term time only), 10:00am-11:00am
Who we are
We are a friendly church‑based group offering a calm, nurturing space for babies aged 8–18 months. Our sessions blend heuristic play with the PEEP learning framework, helping babies explore, discover, and grow. Families of all backgrounds are warmly welcomed.
What is Treasure Basket or “Heuristic” Play?
- Heuristic play allows babies to explore everyday objects independently.
- Supports early thinking, problem-solving, and independence.
- Babies decide what to explore, for how long, and how to combine items.
- Adults provide safety and encouragement without directing play.
- Helps develop confidence, curiosity, and early communication skills.
We use the PEEP framework to support early learning:
- Talk – Naming what babies notice
- Play – Baby‑led exploration
- Sing – Songs that build rhythm and bonding
- Share books – Simple stories including Bible stories
- Home Learning – Everyday ideas to try at home
